Quality Technician

The quality assurance technician will test and inspect parts specifically at Start Up and Last Piece approval and at various stages of production process. Compiles and evaluates statistic data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of these products.Responsibilities:Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics using fixed and variable gauging; including CMMs.Audits inspection instructions to assure proper completion and correctness of the instruction.Monitors controlled documents to current revision levels at the floor level.Uses clear independent thinking.Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristicsPrepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.Responsible for conformity to product requirements and has the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.Assisting in performing final audits to verify that every shipment of product leaving the company meets customer and NPNA quality standards.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEOne year certificate from college or technical school in Quality Control (preferred)Two to four years manufacturing and quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with GD & T is a plus. Knowledge of ISO/IATF is preferred.

(preferred)
